EAC CERTIFICATION OF CLOTHING

Certification of clothing includes a preparation of a product test report and registration of a certificate or a declaration of conformity. All clothing for adults, with the exception of underwear, requires registration of a declaration of conformity in accordance with the Technical regulation of the Customs Union «On the safety of light industry products» (TR CU No. 017/2011).

Declarations of conformity are issued for second and third layer of clothing (dresses, blouses, trousers, coats, jackets). While EAC certificates are issued for the underwear group (underwear, T-shirts).

Both an individual entrepreneur and a legal entity with any registration form can get an EAC certificate or a declaration for clothes, including those of their own production. An applicant must be registered in the Russian Federation or one of the countries of the EAEU. Please keep in mind that such a permit documents cannot be issued to an individual.

REGISTRATION OF A DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY FOR CLOTHING

First of all, laboratory tests of the products are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the TR CU 017. After finishing the lab testing a report is issued as a separate document, which details are reflected in a declaration. The number, date and data of the accredited laboratory that conducted the necessary tests are also indicated.

Certificates and declarations of conformity are issued with a validity period of one to five years, it depends on the chosen scheme. Such a design scheme is more beneficial for manufacturers and importers who sell goods in series. It is possible to issue in relation to a limited batch, that is, without an expiration date. But upon delivery of the next batch, a repeated certification procedure awaits you. It will be necessary to draw up new documentation, as they reflect the number and date of the invoice for which the goods are delivered. This scheme is usually applied if a limited series is manufactured or imported.
